GOOD NEWS….. IS ALWAYS GOOD TO BEGIN WITH A REMINDER:
Come and join us on October 10th at 10 a.m. at the Rosemont Winery as we gather to hold our semi-annual meeting. Afterwards stay and celebrate the Harvest Festival at the Winery. Our HOA will treat all our members to a wine tasting as our social event. It’s a fun day and a wonderful way to meet your friends and neighbors. We hope you will come and enjoy celebrating the festivities and support this wonderful local family business that we are fortunate enough to have in our “backyard”.
Speaking of celebrating, we would like to wish Mary & Ray Marshall (our President) a very happy 64th wedding anniversary!!!! WOW!!
We would like to WELCOME our new neighbors James & Judy Miller from Hillsborough, NC. They are now the proud owners of 249 Lakeview Drive and two lots across the road. We bid you welcome and hope that you will enjoy living in Holly Grove Estates as much as we do. We look forward to meeting you soon!
A very IMPORTANT reminder is that as of July 1, 2016 ALL boaters MUST be licensed to drive a boat with a 10 hp or greater engine or a PWC. You can take these courses in person or on your computer. Check with www.dgif.virginia.gov/boating/education/ for further information. Remember that if you’re stopped…….ignorance is no excuse!
Holly Grove does have a Neighborhood Watch, and we are it! We need to remember that we are the “eyes, ears and mouth” of the neighborhood. We have recently had some vandalism to our dock area. The two new signs that we purchased and mounted regarding the use of the dock have been stolen. If you have any idea of who may have done this, please let us know. We are replacing them. Please keep alert, especially as the fall arrives and our weekenders spend less time here. We ARE our brother’s keeper. Thanks.
It’s “PARTY TIME” again! What a wonderful way to welcome in the Holidays, join us as we enjoy a wonderful evening with our friends and neighbors. Mark your calendar for December 5th for our Annual Christmas Gathering. This year we want to thank our new neighbors , Chuck & Debbie Tripp, 134 Boyd Drive who have graciously volunteered to host our Holiday get together. Watch for more details to follow as time gets closer.
Please let us remind you to be considerate neighbors by minding your pets, following the burning rules, keeping your property maintained and driving slowly on our roads and on the lake. Let’s keep everyone happy and safe!!!!
That’s all for now folks. Enjoy this beautiful season that is fast approaching!
Don’t forget … see you Oct. 10th!
