Spring has finally sprung! I’m sure we’re all looking forward to a beautiful spring and summer at the lake. Spring is a time for new beginnings and so we would like to take this opportunity to welcome many new neighbors to Holly Grove Estates. We really look forward to meeting ALL OF YOU!

We’re looking into publishing a small directory for our neighborhood, so it is very important that everyone be sure to keep us updated of your current: home addresses, all phone number(s) and e-mail address so that the correct information may be included and also so that we may be able to be in contact if necessary.

Here’s what’s happening in the neighborhood:

  • Don’t forget … Our ANNUAL GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14th at the ROSEMONT WINERY. This is the time for YOUR Board to share what they are working on with you, and the opportunity for you to ask questions and to become informed. These are some of the areas that we are working on: Security; AB Water; Roads & Grounds; Securing the Boat Ramp; Covenants and Neighborhood Rules & Regulations. Please join us, and do stay for a glass of wine afterwards, it’s a great way for all of us to get to know our neighbors. It is also our Annual Elections and that is always important! If you would like to contribute to our HOA by holding a post on the Board, please let us know, we need YOU. We have elections every year, and remember most of our Board members were, or are, “weekenders” so that’s not a problem.
  • Don’t you feel proud when you turn into Holly Grove Estates these days? Our new entrance is so welcoming. Sadly, we have had some vandalism at the entrance recently when one of the carriage lamps was broken and beaten with a stick. At the same time several of our road signs were pulled out. There has also been litter thrown at the entrance and all along our roads. This is YOUR neighborhood, please be vigilant and let us know when you see anything or anyone suspicious. If you see someone please acknowledge them, which lets them know that we are aware of them being in our community. We are looking into ways to keep our neighborhood safer, but the best defense is our Community Watch and that relies on YOU!

Speaking of safety … REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR BOATER SAFETY COURSE!

Speaking of boats … the boat parade is a favorite every year. Starting at Holly Grove Creek and winding around past the Lake Gaston Boat Club (private) dock located directly across the lake from Holly Grove, decorate your boat and join us for this event. We will send out a separate notice on the date for this event this year.
